History
The Hip-Hop movement start in the 70's as an underground movement and start in the South Bronx area of the New York City focusing on Mcing, breakbeats, and house parties.All of this start at the department of DJ Kool Herc and soon it spreads on all New York City.
Street gangs were prevalent in the poverty of the South Bronx, and much of the graffiti, rapping, and b-boying at these parties were all artistic variations on the competition and one-upmanship of street gangs.
